What the extension does
When you click “Check this page,” the extension reads the current tab's URL, page title, selected metadata, headings, image alt attributes, anchor links and JSON-LD types. It processes this information locally in the browser to display a report.
Collection and storage
The extension does not transmit scan results to Trojan Digital Marketing or any other server. It includes no analytics, ads, cookies, account login, remote code or background scanning. It does not read form field values, passwords, browser history or cookies.
Scan results remain in the popup's working memory until it closes or a new scan replaces them. The extension does not save scan history. Reports you choose to download are stored through your browser's normal download process and remain until you delete them. Your browser, operating system or backup software may handle those files independently.
Permissions
- activeTab: temporary access to the page after you invoke the extension.
- scripting: runs the packaged, read-only page inspection function in that tab.
The extension does not request ongoing access to all websites.
Links and downloads
Opening a website link is optional. The extension does not attach your scan data to outbound links. The destination website handles your visit under its own privacy policy and can receive ordinary web request information, such as your IP address. Exported reports may include private page URLs, headings and link text. Review them before sharing.
