What does the free scan check?
Jev, an AI model from TypeSafe, answers 44 set questions about each page, like whether a town page says anything true only of that town. Code counts 26 technical facts exactly, like schema, tap-to-call links and title length. Every page gets a score in these seven areas:

Proof and trust

A score for every page
Seven areas, from local detail to turning visits into calls. Blog posts get their own score, so they don't drag down the pages that sell.
A fix list in order
The plan sorts the work into this week, this quarter and later, and splits the facts only you know from the work we can do.
Proof from your own pages
A finding about something on a page quotes the sentence it's about, so you can see the problem before you change anything.
An AI search check
It flags robots.txt rules that block AI answer tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity from reading your site.
Broken links found
It follows the links on your pages and lists the ones that go nowhere.
A report you can share
A two-page owner summary with a full appendix as a PDF, plus a spreadsheet of every page.
How does it work?
1
Enter your website
Jev finds your pages from your sitemap, or from your home page's links.
2
Add your business details
Optional. Your services and towns make the local checks sharper.
3
Watch the pages get scored
Keep the tab open while it runs. Your report link comes by email, so closing the tab loses nothing.
4
Fix and rescan
Work through the list, then rescan to see what moved. The $99 audit includes one rescan.
Each purchase is a one-time payment through Stripe, refunded in full when the audit can't finish or we can't read most of your site. See the paid tool terms.
About the scan
In short
The Jev website scan reads the pages of a local business website, scores each one on search fit, local detail, proof and calls, and lists what to fix first. The first scan of a domain is free for up to 100 pages. The $99 audit reads up to 3,000 pages, scores up to 3 competitors you name the same way and includes a rescan after your fixes.
How does Jev read a page?
Jev answers set questions in fixed shapes, and code turns those answers into scores, so every page is held to the same rules. A check only counts on the kinds of pages it fits, so a blog post isn't held to a town page's standard. A yes or no finding needs Jev to be at least 80% sure of the problem. Read more about Jev.
Jev reads the text in your pages' code. It doesn't look at photos or run your site's JavaScript. The scanner reads only pages your robots.txt opens to our audit bot and Googlebot, and it stops at a bot check instead of getting around it, competitors included.
How is this different from the free website audit?
Our free website audit checks one page's code: its crawl rules, images, links and answer structure. The Jev scan reads every page for what it says, like whether it names the town and backs up its claims. Use the audit for a quick code check and the scan when you want the whole site scored with a plan.
The scan covers your website only. Your Google Business Profile and reviews aren't part of it.
Questions
What counts as the free scan?
The first scan of each domain is free and reads up to 100 pages, starting with the pages that sell. We ask for your email so we can send you the report link. Scanning that domain again is the $99 audit.
What's in the $99 audit?
Every page up to 3,000, up to 3 competitors you name scored with the same questions (25 pages that sell from each), a rewrite of your weakest page's opening that uses only facts already on your site, and one rescan after you make fixes. More rescans are $19 each.
Which pages does Jev read first?
Your home page, then the pages that sell, like services, towns, about and contact, working from the top of your site down. Articles come next, newest first when your sitemap dates them. Tag and category pages come last.
Does every finding come with proof?
A finding about something on a page, like another town's name left in the copy, shows the sentence it's about. A finding about something missing, like prices, points to the page on your site that already has the answer when there is one.
Can I use my Search Console data?
Yes. After the scan, add your Search Console Pages export, or Top pages from Ahrefs, and the plan starts with your busiest pages. It also counts how many of your scanned pages showed up in Google during the export's dates.
How long does a scan take?
It depends on the size of the site and how fast its host answers. Keep the tab open while it runs. If it closes, open your scan link again and the scan carries on from the last page it read.
Who can see my report?
Your report lives at its own link, which works for 12 months from the day of the scan. Anyone with the link can open the report and use an unused included rescan, so share it only with people you trust. Our team can also open reports to check quality and to help when you ask.
Does a good score mean I'll rank?
No. The scan checks what your pages say and how they're built. Rankings also depend on things it can't see, like links from other sites, your Google Business Profile and your reviews, so use your Search Console data next to it.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, in full, when the audit can't finish or we can't read most of your site. Otherwise the sale is final once the report is delivered, and that includes an unused rescan. Email support@trojandigitalmarketing.com within 14 days of your purchase.
Something went wrong with a payment. Who do I ask?
Email support@trojandigitalmarketing.com with the site you scanned, and we'll sort it out.
