Denver RiNo Studio Marketing for More Commission Requests

You make work people love at open studios, but commission requests show up as 'how much for one like this?' and wholesale emails get buried in the same inbox.

Trojan Digital Marketing, founded in March 2018, plans digital marketing for makers and studios in RiNo, Denver, Colorado, giving commission requests and wholesale questions separate pages on your site, each with its own form. We do the work remotely from Indianapolis, for studios in RiNo and anywhere else in Denver, starting with the inquiries already in your inbox. It's for the maker who says, "Half my emails ask the price, and I can't tell who's serious."

Bring two recent commission emails and one wholesale inquiry, messy ones included. The first strategy call is free, and during business hours we aim to reply within five minutes.

  • Commission form that screens for fit
  • A stockist page shop owners can forward
  • Open studio dates kept on their own page

Jeff Clerisier, our founder, still runs the company, and we have more than 1,400 live websites. On the one we redesigned for Redefined Body, a skincare line sold at Georgetown Market in Indianapolis, each product's name and price sits between its photo and the Add to Cart button. A RiNo maker's site can answer a buyer's next question the same way, right beside the work.

Five questions about RiNo marketing

How much does marketing for a RiNo studio cost?

It's priced after the free strategy call, since a maker who sells finished pieces online needs different work from one who takes a handful of commissions a year. If you're starting from nothing, the Marketing Startup Kit is $7,997, or three monthly payments of $2,799, and it bundles a custom website and Google Business Profile setup with 20 blog posts and three months of consulting.

Should a maker combine commissions and wholesale on one form?

Only when the same review process and information apply. These buyers often have different requirements. Separate routes can make the first conversation more useful and help staff understand the commercial context.

Can we assume every studio participates in a district event?

No. RiNo Art District lists First Friday festivals on its visit pages, but your site should only say you're open once you've confirmed that date. Link to the district's page for the schedule.

What makes a process article useful?

It answers a real buyer question using the business’s actual method and approved examples. Explain the stages, decisions, and limitations without inventing results or presenting another maker’s work as your own.

Will a larger portfolio guarantee more inquiries?

No. We'd rather show a short set of pieces, each labeled with size, material and whether it's still for sale, than a long wall of unlabeled photos. A buyer who can't tell what's available usually just emails to ask the price.

Do you only take on studios inside RiNo?

No. RiNo is where this page starts, but a maker anywhere in Denver gets the same setup. It all runs by phone and online, so your neighborhood doesn't change the work.

Should wholesale buyers use the same form as commission customers?

No, give them their own page, because a shop owner wants to know if you supply stores and who to email. Redefined Body, a skincare line sold at Georgetown Market in Indianapolis, needed a trustworthy site for its handcrafted products. We put each product's name and price between its photo and Add to Cart, and said where to buy it in person. Alexa Mahaber's review praised that: "I love that you put where you can find my skincare at (GTM)."

Should RiNo's festival and open studio crowds get their own page on our site?

Yes, if your studio opens its doors for them. RiNo Art District's site promotes open studios and creative events and publishes a gallery and studio directory, so someone who found you there wants dates and what's for sale that day. Keep that page apart from your commission details, and take it down or mark it past once the date goes by.

What happens first when a RiNo maker starts with us?

We'd read your last 20 or so inquiries with you and mark where each one came from and whether it went anywhere. That count decides which route gets built first. A maker who turns down most commission requests needs a tighter brief form before anything else, while one with open bench time may need process content that brings more requests in.

Does Trojan Digital Marketing have a studio or office in Denver?

No. We're based in Indianapolis, run as a service-area business with no public storefront and would work with your studio remotely. You'd send photos of finished pieces and work in progress, along with notes on the requests you accept. You know which commissions suit your bench, and our part is putting that on the site in words a buyer follows.

What if the new pages bring in the wrong kind of requests?

You'll know quickly, because every request is labeled with the route it came through. If commission requests keep arriving without sizes or deadlines, the brief page gets rewritten before anything new is added. You see the same counts we do, and nothing gets expanded until the number of requests you actually accept starts to climb.

Separate a commission brief from a wholesale inquiry

Open this walkthroughClose this walkthrough

A maker working with RiNo area customers may sell individual pieces, accept selected commissions and consider wholesale relationships. These are different commercial decisions. A gallery of finished work can attract attention while leaving all three buyers unsure how to proceed. This hypothetical workflow builds useful paths around the maker’s actual offer and production limits.

For a commission, explain the kinds of work the maker is willing to review, what an initial brief should contain and which decisions follow a conversation. A useful brief might identify intended use, relevant dimensions and a reference to the maker’s own work. Avoid suggesting that a submitted idea establishes an accepted project, final price or completion commitment.

For wholesale, describe the genuine account or stockist inquiry process. Ask for the business context the maker needs for a first review rather than copying the commission form. Product category information, approved imagery and a clear contact route can support the discussion. Keep terms and availability aligned with the responsible person’s current decisions.

Create process content that answers a question relevant to one of those paths. A commission article might show how material selection affects a design conversation. A wholesale resource might explain how to request current product information. Use permitted original images and identify whether they show a past commission, a current product or an illustrative stage of making. Review inquiry fit and the time needed to clarify requests, so increased discovery supports the maker’s capacity instead of producing a queue of unsuitable projects.

Which page should each RiNo inquiry reach?

Digital marketing for a RiNo studio works best when each kind of request lands on its own page and asks one question that tells you whether it fits.

What does RiNo's own district site show a maker?

These facts about RiNo come from the district organization's site and decide which pages a studio's digital marketing plan builds first.

  • RiNo Art District's official site promotes open studios, galleries, live music and creative events.

A studio that opens to the public during district events needs a visit page with current dates, kept apart from commission details.

RiNo Art DistrictChecked September 7, 2026
  • The organization publishes a gallery and studio directory and describes makers and vendor activities in its festival program.

People who find you through the directory or a festival arrive curious, so your site should show what they can buy or commission next.

RiNo marketing can connect a maker’s process with the right kind of inquiry

A person visiting an open studio, a designer researching a commission, and a retailer evaluating wholesale work need different information from the same creative business. The first may need a current public event page. The second needs to understand the brief and collaboration process. The third needs to know whether the business supports trade orders and how an initial discussion begins.

Trojan Digital Marketing can help a RiNo business organize those journeys through useful search content, an understandable website, and a practical inquiry process. We deliver our services digitally and do not claim a RiNo studio, Denver office, or relationship with the district organization.

The official RiNo gallery and studio building directory, reviewed September 7, 2026, identifies a creative setting that includes galleries and studio spaces. The district’s First Friday festival information also describes maker activity and public programming. That supports a process, product, and visit planning context; it does not establish the sales, attendance, or commercial availability of a particular business.

Separate public discovery from commissioned and trade work

Begin with the business model. Does the company sell finished goods, accept commissions, offer workshops, supply retailers, or host public visits? Some businesses do several of these, but each offer needs its own requirements and next step. A portfolio alone may show quality while leaving the visitor unsure how to buy.

A public visit page can explain when access is available, which event source is current, and whether the visitor needs to register. A commission page can describe the types of work considered and the information needed for an initial brief. A trade page can explain whether the business accepts wholesale inquiries and what staff must review.

The commercial district business fit framework helps choose which journey deserves priority. A business should not launch a wholesale campaign merely because a trade inquiry form looks professional; it needs an operational model that can support the customers it invites.

Define geography by actual operations. A RiNo studio can publish its verified visiting details. A business serving the area from elsewhere should explain that delivery model. Our market page provides a strategy context and does not create a local address.

Use process content to answer the questions before a commission

A prospective commissioner often needs to understand how an idea becomes a defined project. Describe the stages the business actually follows: an initial brief, a fit discussion, a proposed scope, review points, and delivery arrangements where applicable. The page should make uncertainty manageable without promising that every idea can be accepted.

A hypothetical maker might ask a customer about the intended use, approximate dimensions, material preferences, decision timing, and installation context. Those questions can help staff decide whether a conversation is suitable. They should not imply that a preliminary form establishes feasibility, a final price, or a production slot.

Show evidence of process when permission allows. A project story can explain the original problem, the options considered, the maker’s role, and the approved deliverables. If collaborators contributed, describe their roles accurately. Do not invent customer praise or numerical results to turn an ordinary project into a dramatic case study.

The proof and case study library guide provides a structure for maintaining these assets. Record the source of images, the approval status of client names, and the facts that may need updating before the story is reused.

Give wholesale buyers a different information set

A trade buyer is evaluating whether the product and supplier fit an ongoing commercial relationship. Useful content can explain product categories, ordering discussions, customization options where available, and the process for reviewing a new account. Publish minimums, lead times, and availability only when the business can verify and maintain them.

A concise trade inquiry might ask about the buyer’s business type, product interest, expected use, and contact details. Detailed commercial terms can follow through the company’s approved process. Do not expose confidential customer or pricing information simply to make the page appear comprehensive.

Our B2B distribution marketing approach is relevant for creative businesses with a genuine wholesale or supply function. It focuses on the information a business buyer needs to evaluate fit and move to a useful conversation.

The guide to matching content with different buyers explains why a consumer product page and a trade qualification page should not ask identical questions. The material being sold may be the same while the purchasing decision is different.

A public studio event has a time sensitive purpose. A visitor needs the current date, organizer, location information, access details, and any registration requirements. Link to the responsible organizer when its page is the authoritative source for a district event. Do not reproduce a calendar once and leave it unchanged.

After the event, choose an appropriate next state. An archive can preserve photographs and a factual recap, while a separate current events page answers what happens next. Remove or revise booking language that no longer applies. Keep a useful past page when it has original value, but label its date clearly.

A hypothetical studio might publish a short preview of the process visitors can see and then a permissioned recap explaining what was demonstrated. That sequence creates original information. Copying the district calendar into many nearly identical posts does not provide the same value.

Our retail event content guide can help assign responsibility for dates, registration links, and the post event update. The business should confirm its own participation rather than assuming that a district wide event includes every studio.

Build search coverage around making, buying, and planning

A useful search map might separate commission preparation, material or process questions, trade inquiries, and public studio visits. These are proposed intent categories to validate against the business and available search data. They do not represent measured keyword volumes or a claim that one category is more profitable.

SEO work can improve page structure, descriptive titles, internal links, and the accessibility of important information. AEO can make answers to practical questions easy to find. GEO can help keep the business identity, offer, and project evidence clear when AI search experiences interpret the page.

A concise answer might explain that commission inquiries begin with a brief and that scope is confirmed after review. The full page can then show the process and approved examples. A useful answer invites a better conversation; it does not promise a place in an AI Overview or a guaranteed number of sales.

AI tools may help organize recurring questions or draft an outline from approved material. They should not invent techniques, materials, artist histories, permissions, or customer outcomes. The maker or an appropriate reviewer should verify technical and creative descriptions before publication.

Use website performance to support the work being shown

Creative portfolios can become difficult to use when large images, long videos, and decorative effects compete with the content. Preserve visual quality while delivering appropriately sized media. Make the important project explanation and inquiry action available without requiring every image to load first.

Provide useful alternative text for meaningful images and captions where the project context matters. A video should have an understandable written companion when it contains essential information. Do not hide the commission process inside a visual sequence that is difficult to navigate with a keyboard or a small screen.

Test the complete journey: view a project, understand the offer, choose the right inquiry type, submit a brief, and receive confirmation. A performance score alone does not demonstrate that the visitor understood which services were available.

Document dated observations and the conditions of any speed review. The resulting work can improve the page experience, but marketing should not convert a technical measurement into an unsupported promise about revenue or production demand.

Connect an observation to a decisionDefine the event, check the record, review its business meaning and choose the next action.

A commission business may have limited capacity, while a retailer may support a different order cycle. Define what makes an inquiry useful before measuring volume. Track whether the request matches the work, whether the timing is realistic, and whether staff can identify the next step.

For a hypothetical monthly review, a maker might find many requests for work outside its material specialty. Clarifying the supported scope and showing representative projects may reduce unsuitable messages. That can be a better outcome than increasing traffic to an ambiguous portfolio.

The commercial area measurement guide helps connect district content with business outcomes while acknowledging attribution limits. Keep public visit interest, commission requests, and trade inquiries separate when they have different commercial meanings.

Marketing can also communicate how new inquiries are reviewed when capacity is constrained. Use current, staff approved language about the process. Do not publish a permanent urgency claim or an invented waiting list to encourage submissions.

Deliverables for a focused RiNo project

An initial engagement can produce a business model and audience map, one commission or trade page, a portfolio evidence checklist, an event content maintenance plan, and a measurement specification. Each piece should solve a concrete decision problem rather than expand the site for its own sake.

A content brief can identify which images and project details the business must approve, which process questions staff should answer, and what belongs in the inquiry form. A website review can prioritize mobile usability, media delivery, and the connection between project examples and the relevant action.

The scope should also identify dependencies, such as access to the existing content system, product availability data, approved event information, and staff responsible for reviewing inquiries. This makes the proposed work easier to assess and maintain after launch.

Three priorities for a useful RiNo campaign

  1. Choose the buyer. Separate public visitors, commission clients, and trade accounts where their needs differ.
  2. Explain the process. Publish approved project evidence and the information needed for a useful brief.
  3. Measure suitable work. Connect inquiry categories with fit, follow up, and actual capacity.

Discuss your RiNo marketing priorities with us. Bring one offer and a project the business is authorized to explain. You can also request an initial website and search review to identify the most useful improvement in the discovery to inquiry journey.
