Free Search Console Tool to Find Pages Worth Fixing

Bring your Search Console data. Find an explainable next move.

Your inputs stay in this browser. Maximum 20,000 rows / 5 MB.

TAKE THE RESULT FURTHER

Give the opportunity a page worth improving.

Choose one query or page to investigate. For a query, confirm the relevant existing page in Search Console before auditing it. Then check whether the content answers the customer’s actual question.

A PRACTICAL FIELD GUIDE

Turn search impressions into a page improvement plan

Your pages show up in Google, yet few people click through to them. This free Search Console tool comes from Trojan Digital Marketing, an Indianapolis SEO agency with more than 1,400 live websites. It sorts your own clicks, impressions and average positions to show which pages to fix first. When we plan an SEO refresh, we start with pages that already serve a real customer need. We find the reason for the gap, change one specific thing and note the date. That turns a long spreadsheet into a short refresh list, and your export never goes to an AI writing tool.

Find pages near a useful position range

Set the average position range to 11 to 30, often called page 2 or 3. We check that range first, because Google already connects those pages to the query, and a clearer answer often helps more than a new article. Include enough impressions to make the row worth reviewing. The range is a filter for investigation, not proof of a fixed live ranking.

Investigate low click through rates

Compare the offer shown in the search result with the actual landing page. A service query may need clearer qualification, pricing context, or local relevance. An informational query may need a direct answer before the sales pitch.

Prepare an SEO refresh brief

Export a shortlist for your writer or developer. Add the intended customer, the page to inspect, the missing evidence, and a measurement date. Keep national, local, branded, and informational opportunities distinct when making decisions.

How to use it

  1. 01

    Export one consistent view

In Search Console, choose the date range, search type, country, and device filters you want to study. Export either the Queries table or the Pages table. Keep these views separate; two independent exports do not establish which page ranked for each query.

  2. 02

    Upload and confirm columns

Paste CSV or TSV text, or choose a local file. Select Analyze uploaded rows. Check the label, clicks, impressions, and position columns, especially when the export uses different headings. The tool calculates click through rate from clicks divided by impressions.

  3. 03

    Choose a useful filter

Start with a meaningful minimum impression count and an average position range. Reduce the impression minimum for a smaller local market if necessary. Add a period and filters label so the downloaded analysis remains understandable when you revisit it.

  4. 04

    Use scenarios carefully

Leave the optional CTR scenario blank to sort by impressions, then lower clicks. If you enter a CTR percentage, the tool estimates additional clicks at that assumed rate and sorts by that difference. It does not predict that you will achieve the rate.

  5. 05

    Inspect, improve, and compare

Open the actual page and current results separately. Check search intent, title clarity, useful evidence, mobile usability, and relevant internal links. Save your changes and compare equivalent periods later, taking seasonality and other marketing activity into account.

FROM INPUT TO DECISION

Worked example: one row qualifies for a refresh

Fictional data. Minimum 100 impressions, average position 11, 30, optional CTR scenario 2%.

QueryClicks / impressionsAverage positionResult
example service near me
100 / 10,000
12
Included; current CTR 1%; scenario adds 100 clicks
example repair pricing
3 / 600
9.5
Outside the chosen position range

45 / 100
1.2
Outside the chosen position range

The 100 additional clicks are arithmetic: 10,000 × 2% − 100. They are neither a forecast nor a revenue estimate. Confirm the right landing page and conversion path before allocating the work.

Improve the existing answer before adding another URL

If a relevant page already exists, refresh that page first. Splitting the same intent across multiple near identical articles can make navigation and editorial maintenance harder. Create a new page when it answers a substantially different customer decision.

Connect traffic to the next useful action

A local service page should make service coverage and the inquiry process clear. A guide should point to the relevant service or working tool. Use the action appropriate to the visitor instead of sending every query to the homepage.

Questions & limits

Inputs are processed in this browser tab. The tool does not connect to your Google account, run a live ranking check, or measure AI citations.

Maximum 20,000 data rows and 5 MB. Invalid rows and exact duplicates are reported. The screen shows the first 100 matching rows; the export includes all matches.

Does average position 15 mean I am always on page 2?

No. Search Console reports an average across the impressions included in that row and its selected filters. Results can vary by query, device, location, and time. Use the range to select work, then inspect the context.

Can I combine six month and 28 day exports?

Do not add overlapping periods together. A recent 28 day export can help choose current priorities, while a longer view provides context. Keep the files and labels separate so impressions and clicks are not counted twice.

Why are some rows excluded?

The tool excludes missing or invalid values and exact duplicates, then applies your filters. A zero impression row cannot provide a useful CTR. Check the input notes and column selections before changing the filtering thresholds.

Will this identify the exact cause of poor rankings?

No. The export shows performance symptoms, not a complete diagnosis. You still need to inspect the page, search intent, competing results, indexing, mobile experience, and the commercial relevance of the query.

Is the optional CTR value a Google benchmark?

No. It is an assumption you supply for comparison. Your actual click through rate depends on the query and the search experience. Use the scenario to understand the arithmetic, not to promise a traffic increase.
