TROJAN DIGITAL MARKETING

Cookie Policy

How Trojan uses a 90 day attribution cookie, Google measurement when configured, browser tool storage, sign in and security services.

Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Trojan Digital Marketing uses cookies and similar browser technologies on trojandigitalmarketing.com.

The Short Version

We use a first party cookie to remember the source of a visit for up to 90 days and connect a later inquiry to that visit. When configured, Google measurement tags follow regional defaults and supported privacy choices. Some tools may save settings or drafts in browser storage. The owner editor uses authentication, and hosting or security services may use cookies. The optional OpenStreetMap map connects to its provider only after you choose to load it.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser and sent with applicable requests. They can support sign in, preferences, security, or tracking. Local storage is another browser storage mechanism; website code can read it, although it is not automatically attached to requests like a cookie.

What We Use and What We Do Not

  • Tool storage: settings and drafts may be retained locally where a tool supports that feature. Document and image processing in the local tools does not upload those files to our servers.
  • Owner authentication: the editor uses Sites' Sign in with ChatGPT or the access control our hosting provider runs for the site. Sign in can use session cookies or tokens, including an authorization cookie when that access control protects the editor.
  • Hosting and security: providers may use cookies or similar mechanisms to operate and protect their services. Cookie names and lifetimes depend on the configured service and authentication settings.
  • Optional map: choosing to load the map requests content from OpenStreetMap. Its privacy policy describes its handling of requests and browser information.
  • Fonts and PDF libraries: these are self hosted with the site. They are not loaded from Google Fonts or third party code CDNs.
  • First party attribution: a cookie stores a limited advertising click identifier, campaign source, medium, name, keyword and content labels, the first page visited without its query string, and the referring website's domain. It does not store the name, email address, phone number or message entered in a contact form. It requests a lifetime of up to 90 days and helps connect an inquiry to its original visit. It is saved on landing without waiting for a consent banner choice, independently of Google tag consent. If cookies are blocked, attribution can remain in the current tab and pass through a contact link. Browsers may remove it sooner.
  • Google measurement: when configured, Google Tag Manager can load Google Ads and analytics tags. Regional defaults enable advertising storage, analytics storage, advertising data use and ad personalization for visitors identified as being in the United States, and disable those defaults elsewhere or when the country is unknown. Use the Your privacy choices link in the footer to turn Google advertising and analytics measurement cookies on or off. Saving your choice overrides the regional defaults. Google may still receive limited measurement signals without cookies when this setting is off. A Global Privacy Control browser signal turns off advertising data use and ad personalization for Google tags. These settings do not turn off the separate first party attribution cookie.

Contact submissions are sent to our server and stored in the owner inbox in our database. Audit requests send the public URL and chosen single page or sample mode to our server. The auditor retrieves bounded public HTML and related crawl documents. It does not call PageSpeed Insights or receive a business name, city or state field. The Jev Website Scanner sends what you type into it, including your email and any business details, to our server, which saves the scan and sends page text and your business details to TypeSafe to be scored by Jev. Your email isn't sent to TypeSafe. The scanner keeps the business details you type and a list of your recent scans in this browser's localStorage. Optional audit history, document records and customer records are saved in this browser only after you enable their saving controls. Newsletter signup is separate and requires explicit consent and email confirmation when available. Owner media uploads are stored with our hosting provider for public display. These features send information over the network. Our Privacy Policy explains these data flows.

Browser Local Storage

Where a tool saves settings or drafts, you can remove them through the tool's controls if available or by clearing site data for trojandigitalmarketing.com in your browser. Clearing that data can remove saved work. Files you download are controlled separately through your device's file management tools.

Privacy and storage access rules can apply to local storage as well as cookies. The ICO's guidance on storage and access technologies explains their scope for the UK.

Advertising Measurement

When enabled, Google measurement cookies help connect an advertising visit to a later website action. Cookie names and lifetimes depend on the configured Google tags and settings. Google Ads website call measurement may show a Google forwarding number after an eligible ad click to measure calls and their duration. See Google's cookie information. We have not added display ads to this website.

How to Control Cookies

Open Your privacy choices, change the measurement switch, and select Save choices. Reset to default clears your saved choice and reapplies the defaults for your location and browser. A Global Privacy Control signal continues to limit advertising data use and personalization even when the switch is on. This control does not turn off our separate first party attribution cookie, delete existing cookies, or disable necessary site services. Your browser settings can remove existing cookies.

Your browser settings generally let you inspect or delete cookies, clear site data, and restrict storage or third party cookies. Blocking storage or authentication cookies may affect saved tool settings or owner sign in. Deleting or blocking the first party attribution cookie removes or limits our ability to connect a later inquiry to an earlier visit. You can still contact us when cookies are blocked. You can use the website without choosing to load the optional map.

Your Rights

Your available privacy and consent rights depend on the laws that apply and how a technology is used. Where consent is the basis for processing, withdrawal may be available. Contact us with questions or requests.
