LEAD COST RESEARCH

What do roofing leads cost in 2026?

Quick answer: Published prices checked September 11, 2026 range from $85 to $550 per roofing call at Service Direct, while 99 Calls lists $54.99 per organic roofing lead plus applicable package fees. Garrison starts at $399 a month for 50 sites with every qualified lead included, or $800 for year one on the pay per lead plan with 5 qualified leads included, then $125 per additional qualified roofing lead; compare the full annual cost and your booked jobs before choosing.

If you’re comparing what you pay for roofing leads, the number that matters is the cost of each booked job. Trojan Digital Marketing sells Garrison memberships, so we keep our offer apart from other providers’ published prices and label every made-up calculation. Bring your recent lead invoices and we’ll run the math with you: the first strategy call is free, and during business hours we aim to reply within five minutes. This guide covers roofing and water damage restoration because lead prices and qualification rules differ a lot between them. We count each trade separately on our Indiana Garrison networks. From June 29 through August 31, 2026, our original 200 Indiana residential roofing sites brought 11 calls and form inquiries.

What should you compare first?

  • We check the trade and the billable event first, because a call, a marketplace contact and a qualified inquiry are billed under different rules.
  • Add setup and recurring fees before comparing total costs.
  • Use your own booked jobs and collected revenue to judge the result.
  • Check distribution rules separately from a homeowner’s ability to contact other businesses.

Why does the lead channel change the cost?

Different channels charge for different things. A click buys a website visit; a valid call or contact is a separate event; a qualified inquiry follows a written definition. A national price range does not establish the cost or quality available in your service area.

What do you pay for with organic SEO?

You fund the website, content and ongoing work that helps customers find it. A provider may charge a retainer, a membership, per lead fees or a combination. Garrison combines a network of branded local sites with either a flat monthly price that includes every qualified lead or an annual plan with an included allowance and per lead charges above it. Organic visibility takes time, and the fee does not establish a delivery date for each inquiry.

How does paid search pricing differ?

Traditional search advertising commonly charges for clicks. Local Services Ads charges for valid leads under Google’s rules. Include advertising spend and any management fee when evaluating either model. Google says Local Services lead prices depend on factors including location, service and lead type; a fixed national roofing price would conceal those differences. Read Google’s cost explanation.

What does pay per call include?

The billable event is a call that meets the provider’s rules. Service Direct’s published roofing and restoration ranges relate to its call product. Ask about service area, service type, wrong numbers, repeat callers and invalid call disputes before assigning that rate to your budget. Read Service Direct’s published ranges.

How should you compare marketplaces?

Check how the homeowner selects professionals, what contact triggers a charge and whether the inquiry may reach other businesses. Use your written quote for the specific service and location. This guide does not assign Angi or Thumbtack an unsupported nationwide rate or assume the same contract applies to every product.

Which lead prices can you verify?

The following are provider publications as of September 11, 2026. They are useful reference points, with the scope kept next to the price. They are not averages for the whole market or quotes for your towns.

Which providers build pages under your name?

A lead price only means something next to what it leaves behind. This dated review reports what nine providers say on their own pages about who builds the pages, whether they are local, what gets updated after launch and how leads are billed.

Quick answer: Checked September 15, 2026: of the nine providers reviewed, Garrison is the only one whose public pages describe all of these together: a network of microsites branded to one contractor per market, one site per town with up to 100 pages, fresh local articles every membership year, releases that update more than 1,000 microsites at once, human review of each billable lead, and published prices. The marketplaces list you beside competing pros on their own pages. The pay per call networks send calls without any page carrying your name. The microsite software generates pages for you to publish and describes no updates after launch.

Provider pages read . Each cell reports what that provider's own page says, or leaves unsaid.

How do you calculate cost per booked job?

Total acquisition costs ÷ jobs booked from that source = cost per booked job. Here, a booked job means work the customer has agreed to buy, not just an appointment. Use the same time period for both numbers. Count each job once, include the applicable fixed fees and allow time for recent leads to become jobs.

Dividing lead price by close rate is a useful first calculation. It isolates the lead charge and leaves out setup, subscriptions, ad management, sales labor and other costs. The two scenarios below use assumed close rates to explain that relationship. They are not observed results, predictions or evidence that one distribution model always wins.

HYPOTHETICAL SHARED LEAD SCENARIO

$500 per booked job

$75 per lead ÷ 15% assumed close rate

The $75 lead price is an example input, without attribution to a provider. Fixed fees and other acquisition costs are excluded.

HYPOTHETICAL EXCLUSIVE LEAD SCENARIO

$500 per booked job

$125 per lead ÷ 25% assumed close rate

The $125 input matches the entry roofing plan’s additional qualified lead charge. This marginal calculation excludes the membership price.

What happens when the membership price is included?

Monthly plan. The 50 site plan is $399 a month with every qualified lead included, $4,788 for the year at any volume. At 20 qualified leads and 5 booked jobs that is about $957.60 per booked job; at 40 qualified leads and 10 booked jobs it is about $478.80, because the price does not rise with volume.

Pay per lead plan. Assume the 50 microsite Garrison roofing plan receives 20 qualified roofing leads in year one and books 5 jobs, a 25% close rate. Its listed membership price and additional lead charges total $2,675.

$800 year one + (20 less 5 included) × $125 = $2,675
$2,675 ÷ 5 booked jobs = $535 per booked job

This includes the listed Garrison fees under that scenario. It still excludes your sales labor and job fulfillment costs, and does not forecast lead volume or close rate. In the same 20 lead scenario, a 15% close rate would produce 3 booked jobs and a higher cost per job. Use your own figures in the lead cost calculator.

Track cancellations and collected revenue too. A booked job can fall through, and a larger sale can carry a lower margin. The useful comparison is whether the channel produces work your team can serve profitably.

Compare the owned network plan with no charge for each lead

What exactly are you buying with Garrison?

A microsite membership is a plan where a marketing company owns and runs a network of local websites branded to one contractor per market and routes every inquiry to that contractor, paid either as a flat monthly price or per qualified lead.

A qualified lead is an inbound call over 60 seconds or a form submission from a homeowner or property owner in the member’s service area asking for a service the member sells.

Your team answers the calls, reads the forms and handles the customer relationship. TDM does not resell your membership inquiries to competing contractors. A homeowner remains free to contact other businesses independently.

The monthly plan is $399 a month for the entry 50 site network. Your monthly price covers the build, the domains, hosting and upkeep, a fresh batch of local articles, and updated pricing guides and FAQs. Every qualified lead the network produces goes to your team at no extra charge. There is no allowance to use up and nothing to bill per lead. The first 90 days are a proving window billed monthly. After that the membership continues month to month and you can stop with 30 days notice.

The entry roofing plan on the pay per lead option is $800 for year one, then $600 per annual renewal. Year one includes the build, domains and the first year of hosting and upkeep. Annual renewal includes domain renewals, hosting, upkeep, a fresh batch of local articles, updated pricing guides and FAQs, and the same included qualified lead allowance again. The plan includes 5 qualified leads each year. The included allowance resets at renewal. Qualified roofing leads above that allowance are manually reviewed before monthly billing in arrears at $125 each. Your additional qualified lead rate is fixed at signup and stays fixed while your membership renews without a gap. Published rates may change for new members.

On the pay per lead plan, at the end of each membership year, each included qualified lead the network did not deliver becomes a credit toward your next renewal, valued at your locked additional lead rate. The credit is capped at the renewal price, applies to renewal only and has no cash value. On the entry roofing tier, receiving 4 of 5 included leads results in a $125 renewal credit; receiving none results in $600, capped at the renewal price. Read the full membership scope and pricing before launch.

Any network size is available. On the monthly plan, sizes between the listed tiers use the monthly rate for each site of the nearest tier below. On the pay per lead plan, sizes between or above the listed tiers cost $16 for each site in year one and $12 for each site at annual renewal, with one included qualified lead for every ten sites and the additional lead rate of the nearest tier below. Jeff quotes networks above 300 sites on either plan.

What else should you ask about lead costs?

How much do roofing leads cost in 2026?

There is no single nationwide price for every type of roofing lead. As of September 11, 2026, Service Direct publishes $85 to $550 per roofing call, while 99 Calls lists $54.99 per organic roofing lead in addition to applicable package fees. Garrison's monthly plan, as of September 15, 2026, is $399 to $1,699 a month for 50 to 300 sites with every qualified lead included. Its pay per lead plan includes qualified leads within an annual membership and charges $100 to $125 for additional qualified roofing leads, depending on the tier. These products have different fixed costs, scope and qualification rules.

How much do water damage restoration leads cost?

Service Direct publishes $500 to $2,250 per water damage restoration call. 99 Calls lists $129.99 per organic water damage restoration lead, with package fees separate. Garrison uses the same membership sizes and prices for eligible restoration markets: $399 to $1,699 a month with every qualified lead included, or the pay per lead plan with included qualified leads each year and, as of September 15, 2026, $145 to $175 for additional qualified water restoration leads. Other provider prices were checked September 11, 2026; verify the product and current quote before comparing.

How do I calculate cost per booked job?

Divide all relevant acquisition costs for a period by the jobs booked from that source in the same period. Include setup, membership, ad spend, management and lead charges that apply. Lead price divided by close rate gives a marginal lead charge illustration, but excludes fixed fees. A booked job is not collected revenue or gross profit.

Is a $125 lead always more expensive per booked job than a $75 lead?

No. The result depends on your actual close rate and total costs. The examples of $75 divided by 15% and $125 divided by 25% both equal $500 per booked job before fixed fees. They use different assumed close rates to explain the formula. They are not measured provider results or evidence that exclusive inquiries always convert better.

What counts as a qualified Garrison lead?

A qualified lead is an inbound call over 60 seconds or a form submission from a homeowner or property owner in the member’s service area asking for a service the member sells.

What does Garrison's monthly plan cost per booked job?

The 50 site monthly plan is $399 a month, $4,788 a year, with every qualified lead included. At 20 qualified leads and a 25% close rate that is $4,788 ÷ 5 booked jobs, about $957.60 per booked job. At 40 qualified leads and the same close rate it is about $478.80, because the price does not move with volume. These are labeled assumptions, not observed results.

Do included Garrison leads reset at renewal?

On the pay per lead plan, yes. The 50 website plan includes 5 qualified leads in each membership year. Year one is $800 and annual renewal is $600. Year one includes the build, domains and the first year of hosting and upkeep. Annual renewal includes domain renewals, hosting, upkeep, a fresh batch of local articles, updated pricing guides and FAQs, and the same included qualified lead allowance again. At the end of each membership year, each included qualified lead the network did not deliver becomes a credit toward your next renewal, valued at your locked additional lead rate. The credit is capped at the renewal price, applies to renewal only and has no cash value. Additional qualified leads above that year’s allowance are manually reviewed before monthly billing in arrears. Your additional qualified lead rate is fixed at signup and stays fixed while your membership renews without a gap. Published rates may change for new members.

Can I use these network results as a forecast for my market?

The observations by trade below cover different early launch periods through August 2026. TDM supplied these internal records; they have not been independently verified. They do not establish an annual rate or the volume another market will deliver. Roofing and restoration count calls and form fills; missed calls aren't included. Those records cover our Indiana network. Window counts come from a separate owner-reported observation. Market, competition and city list all move the math, and nobody guarantees rankings.
