What does Google Maps work cost?
Standalone profile work gets its price after the free strategy call, when we know how many locations and service areas you have. When you also need a website, the Marketing Startup Kit covers profile creation or full optimization plus a custom 15-page site for $7,997, or three monthly payments of $2,799, all in one project.
Should our service areas list Lawrence, Indianapolis or both?
List both if you really take jobs in each. Lawrence is its own city inside Marion County, left out of the consolidated Indianapolis government in 1970, so a customer there may type the city's own name into Maps. A profile naming only Indianapolis leaves that match to Google's guesswork. Leave off any town where you'd turn the job down.
I run my business from home. Does my address have to show?
No. Google lets a business that travels to customers hide its street address and list service areas, which is exactly how our own profile is set up. Hide yours if customers never come to the house. Before inviting clients over, read the City of Lawrence's rules for home businesses, which this page hasn't reviewed.
What name should go on our Google profile?
The name customers see on your sign, provided it's registered. A sole proprietor or partnership trading under another name files that name with the Marion County Recorder, and an LLC files its assumed name through INBiz. Adding words like 'best' or a town name to the profile name breaks Google's naming rules and can get the listing suspended.
We have a shop and a second location. One profile or two?
Two, as long as customers visit both during stated hours. Each location gets a profile of its own, with its own hours and phone number. If you sell goods, Indiana already treats them as separate stores, since every retail location displays its own Registered Retail Merchant Certificate, so the address on each profile should read exactly like the one on that store's registration.
How do you measure whether profile changes are working?
We compare each month with the same month a year earlier, using the figures from Google's profile performance screen. That's how we report on a local Indianapolis-area business we work with, whose profile showed up in 1,357 searches in July 2026, up 89.5% on July 2025. Seasonal swings cancel out that way, so a busy summer isn't mistaken for progress.

Which Lawrence facts decide how a profile is set up?
Google Maps optimization for a Lawrence, Indiana business rests on a few public facts about the city and county that shape the profile's name and service area.
Lawrence, Marion County, Indiana

What should the profile show for each setup?
Google Business Profile setup for Lawrence, Indiana businesses depends on whether customers come to you or you go to them.
| How you work | Street address on the profile | Service areas |
|---|---|---|
| Storefront or office customers walk into | Shown, with the entrance customers should use | Optional, for places you also deliver to |
| Crew that drives to customers | Hidden | Lawrence and each nearby town you'd accept a job in |
| Owner working from home | Hidden, unless clients visit during set hours | The towns you serve, with Lawrence named |
| Shop plus mobile service | Shown for the shop | Added for the mobile work |
Represent the business rather than a collection of place names
Most businesses serve Lawrence from one location, and the profile should say so without hinting at an office in every neighborhood. Our Maps review runs in a set order. First comes the address setting, shown only if customers walk in.
Next we check the profile name against your county or INBiz filing. Then come the service areas, with Lawrence named if you take jobs there. Last is the page the profile links to, which should say Lawrence, Indiana in its opening line. From then on, we watch the profile month by month.
Check ownership, eligibility and customer access
- Fit
- Explain the service scope.
- Trust
- Show supporting evidence.
- Next step
- Give a clear contact route.
Trojan Digital Marketing reviews who controls the profile, the real trading identity and whether customers visit the business or the business travels to them. Google's representation guidelines provide the framework. The recommended setup depends on the actual operation, not on which local term the owner hopes to target.

A home office, a rented mailing address and a staffed public shop are different arrangements. We ask the owner to explain the facts and provide relevant evidence. A new service page does not justify another profile, and a broader stated service area does not create a new physical presence. The review records the basis for the recommendation so the owner can understand the proposed changes.
An illustrative service shop with customer visits
Imagine a Lawrence locksmith business with a legitimate public shop and services delivered at customer locations. This is a proposed review scenario, not a statement about a specific provider. A person wanting to visit the shop needs accurate hours and the services available there. A person requesting mobile assistance needs the actual contact process and a clear explanation of what staff confirm.
| Customer need | Information to verify | Useful destination |
|---|---|---|
| Visit the shop | Public access, hours and shop services | Accurate visit information |
| Request service at a property | Actual service scope and request process | Service inquiry route |
| Discuss an existing request | The responsible support contact | Approved customer communication channel |
The website should not invent emergency availability, response times or authorization procedures. Those details must reflect the business's actual operation and approved policies.
Align the profile with the page a visitor reaches
We compare categories, business description, phone destination, hours and website links. A person arriving from Maps should not have to guess whether the business receives visitors or only travels to customers. The linked page should explain the relevant process and provide an appropriate next action.
Approved photographs can show a real public entrance or the service equipment, depending on the model. We avoid using unrelated buildings to imply premises or presenting stock people as the team. Changeable information needs an update owner. If the business revises its hours or service scope, the profile and website should be reviewed together so customers do not receive conflicting instructions.
Build a feedback process with useful responsibilities
We can help prepare a neutral review request following a genuine customer interaction and identify who responds to public comments. A request should not ask customers to repeat neighborhood keywords or promise a reward for favorable feedback. Public replies should protect private customer and property information.

Feedback may reveal an information mismatch. A customer expecting a shop service that is not offered needs a clearer service description. A person who mistakes a request for a confirmed visit may have encountered inaccurate form wording. We connect those patterns with the website review instead of treating profile posts and responses as a separate stream of promotional text. The business decides the operational correction; the content should accurately reflect it.
Understand local observations without promising uniform reach
Google's local ranking explanation includes distance and relevance. Visibility can differ with the query and the searcher's context. We can record defined observations where useful, but a result at one point does not establish placement throughout Lawrence or every named neighborhood.

The commercial report separates calls, website actions and requests staff can verify. A mobile service inquiry is not automatically a completed visit, and a direction request is not proof of a purchase. Staff can identify which inquiries fit the actual service and which were misdirected. Changes in capacity, hours and other campaigns should remain part of the interpretation rather than being ignored when reviewing the effect of profile edits.
Start with the existing profile and the real request process
A Lawrence Maps engagement can produce ownership notes, an eligibility review, detail corrections and a website request brief. We prioritize information that affects customer understanding and document who approves and maintains it. The scope should leave the owner with a clear account of the work and the evidence behind the public facts.
Our Google Business Profile service explains the broader offer. The service area business SEO page covers related content considerations, and the Lawrence website design plan addresses the inquiry journey. Bring your profile link and explain how customers actually reach you. That gives the review a concrete basis without inventing locations or promising a particular map position.
